The district’s financial report, presented under Item 10.A, reveals a $1,100 payment made in August to the Texas Association of School Boards (TASB) for ‘Team of 8 Training’. TASB is a registered lobby firm that actively works against property tax relief, school choice, and other taxpayer-friendly reforms at the Texas Legislature.

Response

This payment has already been made, but the Board must account for it. Contact the Kaufman ISD Board (see the Official Agenda link for contact info): ‘Regarding the financial report under Item 10.A, why are our tax dollars being spent on training from TASB, an organization that lobbies against taxpayer interests? Please commit to ending all financial relationships with TASB.’
