TASB is a taxpayer-funded lobbying group that often advocates for higher taxes and spending, and these workshops are frequently used to build insider support for large, expensive bond packages before the public is aware.

DEMAND TRANSPARENCY: Contact the Covington ISD Board (see the Official Agenda link for contact info). ‘Regarding Item 6.A.1, why is a lobbyist group like TASB leading the district’s facility planning? These workshops must be fully open to the public, and all materials from TASB must be posted online before any decisions are made.’
