NEEDS REVIEW (LEVEL 7)
Parents Silenced at ‘Special’ Board Meeting
📅 October 12, 2026
The district is holding a ‘special meeting’ to discuss long-range financial planning and potential school closures or consolidations. However, the agenda explicitly states that ‘public comment is not allowed,’ using Board Policy 1301 to prevent parents from speaking on these critical issues.
Recommended Action Plan

Email the Board of Education (contact info on the district website): ‘Board Policy 1301 is being used to silence parents on critical issues like the district’s financial future and facility utilization. We demand you schedule a regular meeting with full public comment to discuss long-range planning before any decisions are made.’
