The school board will meet in a closed session to discuss candidates to fill a vacant trustee position. Appointing a new board member, rather than holding a special election, denies voters the right to choose their own representative.

The Board will vote on the appointment in Open Session under Item 5. Contact the District Office (see the Official Agenda link) and demand the Board publicly discuss the qualifications of all candidates before voting. Urge them to consider a special election to let the voters decide.
