ALERT (LEVEL 4)
Vague ‘Student Services’ Update Warrants Scrutiny
📅 October 6, 2026
The agenda lists an update on ‘Student Services’ with no further details or attachments provided. This department often manages sensitive programs like mental health screenings, counseling, and other interventions that can occur without full parental knowledge or consent.
Recommended Action Plan

ATTEND & ASK: Attend the meeting and ask clarifying questions during public comment about the ‘Student Services’ update (Item 2.A). Specifically ask: ‘What new programs or screenings are being implemented under Student Services, and what are the specific parental notification and opt-out procedures for each?’

💰 Impact: Undisclosed Programs
ALERT (LEVEL 2)
Mission Statement Uses Vague ‘Belonging’ Language
📅 October 6, 2026
The district’s mission statement uses phrases like ‘welcoming community’ and ‘sense of belonging.’ While these sound nice, they are often the public-facing language used to introduce Social Emotional Learning (SEL) and DEI programs that can replace academic focus with social engineering.
Recommended Action Plan

Monitor: This language is a common precursor to SEL/DEI initiatives. Track how the administration defines and implements ‘belonging’ in future policies and curriculum decisions. No immediate action required.

💰 Impact: Focus on Feelings, Not Facts
