Board to Discuss Hiring/Firing in Secret Session
📅 September 29, 2026
The Board is holding a special session to go behind closed doors and discuss the employment or dismissal of a public employee. Major personnel changes, like hiring a new DEI officer or firing a principal who supports parents, can happen in these sessions with no public oversight or input.
Recommended Action Plan

WATCHDOG ALERT: While the Board can legally meet in private on personnel, major changes can be decided in secret. Email Superintendent Elizabeth Kirby at e_kirby@chuh.org and call Board President Jodi Sourini at (216) 371-7171: ‘Parents expect the Board to announce the position discussed and any decision made in the September 29th Executive Session as soon as legally permissible. We are watching.’
