⚠️ Warning (LEVEL 8)
Vote Scheduled on 2026-2027 Property Tax Rate
📅 September 28, 2026
The La Villa ISD board will vote to adopt the property tax rate for the 2026-2027 school year. The agenda does not disclose the proposed rate or compare it to the ‘no-new-revenue’ rate, which is the rate that would not increase the tax levy on existing property. Any rate adopted above the no-new-revenue rate constitutes a property tax increase on taxpayers.
Response

ATTEND THE MEETING: Show up for the vote on Item B.1. and demand the board adopt the ‘no-new-revenue’ tax rate. Contact the La Villa ISD board (see official agenda for contact info) and ask: ‘Will you vote for the no-new-revenue tax rate to protect taxpayers from a tax hike?’

💰 Impact: Potential Property Tax Increase
