ALERT (LEVEL 4)
Public Hearing on New History Curriculum
📅 October 1, 2026
The district is holding a legally required public hearing to approve all textbooks for the year. The list includes a new K-8 History/Social Science curriculum from 2023 called ‘History Alive!’ from publisher TCI, which requires parental review to ensure it is free from ideological bias.
Recommended Action Plan

ATTEND THE HEARING: This is the designated time for parents to review and question the new curriculum. Attend the public hearing on October 1st, review the materials, and ask the Board: ‘Can you confirm the ‘History Alive!’ curriculum is focused on factual historical events and not on contemporary social justice frameworks?’
