Heads up! We have scanned the upcoming agenda for North Olmsted City. We found 2 items that need your immediate attention before the vote.
| NEEDS REVIEW (LEVEL 7) |

Secret Union Deal Changes Teacher Evaluations
The board is voting on a new Memorandum of Understanding with the teachers’ union that changes the ‘Teacher Evaluation Process.’ The actual text of these changes (Exhibit A) is not included in the agenda, preventing public review before the vote. This could be a backdoor to insert requirements for teachers to use SEL, DEI, or other ideological frameworks in the classroom.
Recommended Action Plan
INVESTIGATE: The documents for Item 7.A are not public. Call Board President Megan Murphy at (440) 588-5300 and demand: ‘The vote on Item 7.A must be postponed until the full text of the Memorandums of Understanding, including Exhibit A on Teacher Evaluations, is made public for parental review. We will not accept secret agreements that change what happens in our kids’ classrooms.’

Over $2.2M in Federal Grants Approved with Limited Detail
The board is approving the annual budget which includes over $2.2 million in federal funds (Title I, Title IV, IDEA). These grants often come with strings attached, mandating specific programs or data collection that can bypass parental oversight.
Recommended Action Plan
DEMAND TRANSPARENCY: Email Treasurer Katherine Henes at katherine.henes@nolmsted.org: ‘Regarding Item 5.A, please provide a detailed breakdown of the programs and vendors that will be funded by the $2.29M in Federal Funds (Fund 500). Parents have a right to know what ideological strings are attached to this money before it is appropriated.’
π° Taxpayer Impact: $2.3M (Federal Strings Attached)
