⚠️ NEEDS REVIEW (LEVEL 6)
Secretive Policy Review Bypasses Parents
📅 Meeting on July 7, 2026
The Board Policy Committee is reviewing four policies labeled only by codes (JED, JEDA, JHCD, JHCD-R(3)). Without descriptive titles, parents cannot know if these discussions involve student discipline, curriculum, or parental rights. This forces parents to hunt through attached documents to understand what is being changed.
Recommended Action Plan
INVESTIGATE: Review the attached policy files (JED, JEDA, JHCD) in the official agenda. Call Board President Latoya Dowdell-Burger at (614) 492-2520 and demand that all future policy discussions include clear, descriptive titles, not just bureaucratic codes.
