⚠️ NEEDS REVIEW (LEVEL 5)
|
|
State-Funded 'Parent Mentor' Program Introduced
The board is accepting $14,744 for a 'Parent Mentor' program with no public details. This vague, state-funded role could be used to push state-approved ideology onto families or collect private data under the guise of 'support,' bypassing parental authority in their own homes.
Recommended Action Plan
DEMAND ANSWERS: Email Superintendent Michael Barnes at mbarnes@mayfieldschools.org: 'Regarding the 'Parent Mentor' program in Item 3.B, I demand a full public explanation of the role, including its job description and training materials, before any funds are accepted.'
💰 Taxpayer Impact: $14,744 (State Strings Attached)

Over $200 Million in Vague Spending Rushed
The Board is voting on over $200 million in spending ($151M final + $51M temporary budgets) with all details buried in attachments. This is a massive sum of money being approved with minimal transparency, a perfect opportunity to hide funding for ideological consultants or data-mining software.
Recommended Action Plan
DEMAND TRANSPARENCY: Call Board President Sue Groszek at (440) 995-6800: 'I demand Items 3.C and 3.D be pulled for a separate public discussion. Parents have a right to know where $200 million of our tax money is going before you vote.'
💰 Taxpayer Impact: $202,822,256 (Lack of Transparency)
