⚠️ Warning (LEVEL 8)
Final Vote on Your New Property Tax Rate
📅 August 25, 2026
The Mullin ISD board is scheduled to hold its final vote to adopt the property tax rate for the 2026-2027 year. This is the single most important vote that determines the size of every property owner’s school tax bill. The board will also vote to approve the new district budget, locking in spending for the next year. Taxpayers should demand to know if the proposed rate is higher than the ‘no-new-revenue’ rate, which would result in a tax increase for the community even if the rate itself is slightly lower than last year’s.
Response

This is the most important meeting of the year for your wallet. Contact the Mullin ISD administration office and demand they publish the proposed tax rate and budget online before the August 25th meeting. Urge your board members to adopt the ‘no-new-revenue’ tax rate to prevent a tax hike.

💰 Impact: Potential property tax increase if the board adopts a rate above the no-new-revenue calculation.
