The Weimar ISD Board is holding a public hearing and then will immediately vote to adopt the new budget and property tax rate for the 2026-2027 school year. This is the most important meeting of the year for taxpayers to influence how much they will pay in school property taxes. While the district’s preliminary state financial rating is excellent, that does not prevent the board from increasing the tax burden on local homeowners and businesses.

SHOW UP AND SPEAK UP: This is the final hearing before the board votes on your property tax bill. Attend the meeting on August 27th and sign up for the public hearing. Urge the board to protect taxpayers by adopting the ‘no-new-revenue’ tax rate. Contact the Weimar ISD administration office to confirm how to sign up for public comment.
