The school board is scheduled to hold a public meeting and then vote to adopt the 2026-2027 budget and set the new property tax rate. The agenda proposes a Maintenance & Operations rate of $.7637, but critically omits the ‘no-new-revenue’ and ‘voter-approval’ rates. SHOW UP AND ASK THE HARD QUESTIONS: Attend the public meeting on August 27th. Ask the board: ‘What is the no-new-revenue tax rate? What is the voter-approval rate? By what percentage will the total tax levy—the actual dollars taken from taxpayers—increase under this proposed budget and tax rate?’ Demand they post the full budget online before the vote.
