Good moves worth showing up to support so they stick.
Positive Signal (LEVEL 3)
Board Affirms Two Public Comment Periods
📅 August 24, 2026
The agenda explicitly provides two separate opportunities for community comments, one at the beginning and one at the end of the meeting. This structure ensures parents have a voice on matters before the board and is a positive sign of transparency.
How to Lock It In

ACKNOWLEDGE & DEFEND: Thank the board during public comment for maintaining two comment periods. This puts on the record that parents value this access, making it harder to reduce in the future. Example: ‘I want to thank the board for providing public comment at both the beginning and end of the meeting. We appreciate this commitment to transparency and parental input.’
