Defining the Next Superintendent’s Priorities
📅 August 20, 2026
The board is using a “31 Qualities online survey” to define the job description for the new superintendent and to determine which “constituent groups” will provide input. This is a critical opportunity for activists to bake ideological requirements into the hiring process, prioritizing social agendas over academic excellence.
Recommended Action Plan

GET INVOLVED NOW: Contact the Delano Public School District Board (see official agenda for contact info). Demand that ‘parents’ are designated as the primary constituent group for input and that the ’31 Qualities’ survey be made fully public. Ask: ‘Will the final job description prioritize academic achievement and parental rights above all else?’
