ALERT (LEVEL 1)
Ideological Language in Mission Statement
📅 August 17, 2026
The district’s mission statement includes the term ‘global-mindedness,’ a common euphemism for curricula that can de-emphasize American civics and values in favor of a globalist perspective. While not an active policy, it signals the board’s ideological leanings and priorities for future curriculum decisions.
Recommended Action Plan

Monitor: This language is a signal of the district’s priorities. Track future curriculum adoptions and board policies to see if this ‘global-mindedness’ translates into concrete classroom changes. No immediate action required.
