Heads up! Our parent watchdogs have scanned the upcoming agenda for Troy School District. We found 2 items that need your immediate attention before the vote.

ALERT (LEVEL 4)

Strict Limits on Public Comment Time

📅 2026-08-18

The board limits total public comment on agenda items to 30 minutes and allows the President to shorten individual speaking times if many people sign up. This policy can be used to silence a room full of concerned parents at a critical meeting.

Recommended Action Plan

PLAN AHEAD: If you plan to speak, arrive early and sign up immediately. Coordinate with other parents to ensure your key messages are delivered within the first 30 minutes before the board cuts off comment.

💰 Taxpayer Impact: Your Voice Silenced

ALERT (LEVEL 2)

Vague Title — Manual Review Required

📅 2026-08-18

The board is voting on a ‘Troy Career Center Lease’ under the Business section. The details of this lease agreement are in an attachment that was not included in the provided agenda text.

Recommended Action Plan

INVESTIGATE: Open the file attached in the Official Agenda (linked above) to confirm the terms of this lease and ensure no third-party ideological groups are involved.

💰 Taxpayer Impact: Undisclosed
