👀 MONITOR (LEVEL 5)
Taxpayer Funds Paid to Ideological Activist Group
📅 August 17, 2026
The district’s accounts payable report includes a $1,700 payment to “YWCA Metropolitan Chicago.” The YWCA is a national organization that promotes divisive concepts like “anti-racism” and social justice activism. The agenda provides no detail on what services this payment is for.
Recommended Action Plan

DEMAND TRANSPARENCY: Contact the District Office (see the Official Agenda link) and ask: ‘Regarding the $1,700 payment to the YWCA in the August 17th payables report, what specific services were rendered to the district or its students? Parents have a right to know if their tax dollars are funding political activism.’

💰 Taxpayer Impact: $1,700
ALERT (LEVEL 3)
“Equity” Language Appears in State Funding Plan
📅 August 17, 2026
The district’s state-mandated Evidence-Based Funding (EBF) plan lists one of its top three strategies as to “Focus increased time and attention on special student groups.” This is equity-focused language that can be used to justify allocating resources based on group identity rather than individual academic need.
Recommended Action Plan

Monitor: This language is a foothold for future equity initiatives. Track how the district defines ‘special student groups’ and what specific programs are funded under this strategy. No immediate action required, but be prepared to challenge any resource allocation that prioritizes group identity over academic merit.

💰 Taxpayer Impact: Academics replaced by identity politics
