Positive Signal (LEVEL 3)
Board Increases Transparency Beyond Legal Requirement
📅 2026-08-17
The Board of Education has publicly noticed a “Community Engagement Event” with staff, even while stating that it is not an official meeting where business will be conducted. By providing this notice for the sake of transparency, they are setting a positive precedent for open communication with the community.
How to Lock It In

AMPLIFY GOOD BEHAVIOR: Send a brief, positive email to the Board of Education. ‘Thank you for providing public notice for the August 17th staff breakfast. This commitment to transparency, even when not legally required, is appreciated by parents and helps build community trust.’ This reinforces the behavior we want to see. Contact the District Office (see the Official Agenda link) to find the correct email addresses for board members.
