⚠️ NEEDS REVIEW (LEVEL 7)
Board to Endorse Candidate for State Lobbying Group
📅 August 17, 2026
The board is voting to officially endorse a candidate for the Texas Association of School Boards (TASB). TASB is a powerful lobbying organization that often opposes parental rights legislation at the state level, meaning our district’s endorsement could be used to work against our own interests.
Recommended Action Plan

Contact the Board of Trustees (see the Official Agenda link for contact information): ‘I urge you to vote NO on Item 3.A. The Dripping Springs ISD board should focus on educating our children, not using its platform to endorse candidates for the TASB lobbying organization. Please abstain from this political endorsement.’
