⚠️ NEEDS REVIEW (LEVEL 6)
Draft Budget Lacks Public Detail
📅 August 12, 2026
The committee is reviewing the draft budget for Fiscal Year 2027, but the document itself is not attached to the public agenda. This prevents parents from scrutinizing spending on ideological consultants, controversial curriculum vendors, or federal grants with strings attached.
Recommended Action Plan

DEMAND TRANSPARENCY: The budget is the district’s moral document. Contact the District Office (see the Official Agenda link for contact info): ‘Please post the full “FY27 Draft Tentative Budget” document online for public review prior to the August 12th committee meeting. Taxpayers have a right to see where our money is going.’

💰 Taxpayer Impact: Undisclosed Spending
👀 MONITOR (LEVEL 5)
Vague Program Update Requires Scrutiny
📅 August 12, 2026
The agenda lists a “Park School Program Update” without any details on the program’s content, goals, or partners. This lack of transparency prevents parents from knowing if this update involves academics, social-emotional learning, or other non-academic topics being introduced at the school.
Recommended Action Plan

INVESTIGATE: This meeting is at 9 AM on a weekday, when most parents can’t attend. Contact the District Office (see the Official Agenda link for contact info): ‘What specific program will be discussed in the “Park School Program Update” at the August 12th committee meeting? Parents deserve a detailed agenda before policies are discussed.’

💰 Taxpayer Impact: Lack of Transparency
