Heads up! Our parent watchdogs have scanned the upcoming agenda for INVER GROVE HEIGHTS SCHOOLS. We found 2 items that need your immediate attention before the vote.
🚨 HIGH CONCERN (LEVEL 8)
Board Planning to Use Tax Dollars for Political Lobbying
📅 2026-08-10
The school board is planning to draft and submit political resolutions to the Minnesota School Boards Association (MSBA). This means they are preparing to use their official position, funded by your tax dollars, to lobby the state legislature on issues that could undermine parental rights.
Recommended Action Plan

PACK THE ROOM: This is a ‘Work Session,’ where the real decisions are made. Attend the meeting and demand to know what specific resolutions the board is considering. Contact the Board of Education (see the Official Agenda link): ‘The school board’s job is to educate our children, not to engage in political lobbying with our tax dollars. I demand that the board refrain from submitting any advocacy resolutions to the MSBA.’

💰 Taxpayer Impact: Taxpayer-Funded Lobbying
ALERT (LEVEL 4)
Vague Levy Renewal Hides Spending Details
📅 2026-08-10
The district is asking voters to renew a Capital Projects Levy to avoid a $1.1 million deficit. While they promise “no tax increase,” the funds are for broad categories like “curriculum” and “learning software” without any specific details, potentially funding ideological programs without parental oversight.
Recommended Action Plan

DEMAND DETAILS: Contact Superintendent Dave Bernhardson and the Board of Education (see the Official Agenda link): ‘Regarding the ‘Renew 199′ Capital Projects Levy, I demand a detailed list of the specific curriculum, software, and vendors the district plans to purchase with these funds before it goes to a vote. Parents have a right to know exactly what they are funding.’
