Heads up! Our parent watchdogs have scanned the upcoming agenda for WYANDANCH UNION FREE SCHOOL DISTRICT. We found 2 items that need your immediate attention before the vote.
🚨 HIGH CONCERN (LEVEL 8)
Board Can Vote on Secret ‘Walk-In’ Resolutions
📅 August 5, 2026
The agenda explicitly allows the board to introduce and vote on new resolutions during the meeting, immediately after their private executive session. This process completely bypasses public review, preventing parents from seeing or commenting on new policies before they are passed.
Recommended Action Plan

DEMAND TRANSPARENCY: Contact the District Office (see the Official Agenda link) and email the Board of Education. ‘The practice of voting on ‘walk-in’ resolutions that are not on the public agenda is unacceptable. We demand all resolutions be published with the agenda to allow for public review before any vote.’

💰 Taxpayer Impact: No Public Scrutiny
⚠️ NEEDS REVIEW (LEVEL 7)
Undisclosed Superintendent Recommendations on Agenda
📅 August 5, 2026
The agenda lists an action item for “Superintendent Recommendations” but provides zero details, attachments, or descriptions of what will be proposed or voted on. This leaves parents completely in the dark about potentially major district decisions regarding curriculum, spending, or policy.
Recommended Action Plan

DEMAND TRANSPARENCY: Contact the District Office (see the Official Agenda link) and email the Board of Education. ‘Item 7B, Superintendent Recommendations, must be detailed for the public before the meeting. What specific recommendations will be presented and voted on? Parents have a right to know.’
